Meeting is the beginning of a story.

Three years ago, a skinny stray dog timidly broke into our company. There was a look of intense longing for food in its eyes. Feeling sorry for it, we offered it some food. Unexpectedly, this casual act kicked off a wonderful bond. It had a gentle nature and was very clingy. On the second day and the third day after that, it showed up on time, as if it had already recognized us as its “friends”.

(When I first met it)

So, I temporarily took it in and, together with my colleagues, helped look for its original owner.

However, half a month passed, and the hope of finding its owner gradually faded away. Meanwhile, the bond between me and the dog grew deeper and deeper. Eventually, I decided to officially become its owner.

When I took it to the pet hospital for a check-up and deworming, I learned that this little guy was a three-year-old “lad”. It didn’t have a dog license yet, its teeth were in poor condition, and it didn’t even show much interest in toys, all of which made me feel full of pity for it.

(Take it to the veterinary hospital)

From then on, I wanted to give it the best in the world. I bought it all kinds of delicious food and a wide variety of toys, and I also took it to meet many dog friends. Amazingly, it got along extremely well with my cat, just like old friends who had known each other for a long time. I took it for a car ride for the first time, watched the sunrise at the seaside for the first time, and celebrated its birthday for the first time… Each of these “first times” has become a precious memory in our lives.

To ensure its healthy growth, I started learning how to make scientifically proportioned dog food and snacks. Although this process was cumbersome, whenever I saw it eating happily and contentedly, everything became worthwhile.

Before I knew it, we had been accompanying each other for almost three years. It has witnessed my joys and sorrows, and I have also been a part of its transformation and growth. In the future, I hope it can continue to accompany me for ten or even twenty years and witness more important moments in my life. This is not just a story about a dog, but also a deep affection that transcends species. It warms my life, and I also hope it can touch everyone who reads its story.
